While Chhattisgarh saw the lowest inflation of 1.98 per cent, the national capital recorded 2.24 per cent, which was below the national average of 5 per cent. Delhi's inflation came down further in September from 3.1 per cent recorded in August.
Retail inflation declined to a three-month low of 5.02 in September, mainly due to easing food prices, according to the government data released today.
Delhi's overall inflation was less than half of the national number, which came in at 6.83 per cent in August, slightly lower from 7.44 per cent in July but still above the central bank's tolerance level of 2-6 per cent.
