Both the drones returned to Pakistani side after the BSF fired around 15 rounds in an attempt to bring them down in the Arnia area of R.S. Pura sector between 4.30 a.m. and 4.45 a.m., the officials said.

After the deep freeze in India-Pakistan ties since the 2016 Uri attack and the further ratcheting up of tension along the LoC after the Balakot airstrike the decision to respect the 2003 ceasefire agreement, announced in a joint statement by the Director General of Military Operations, was a startling one. The guns fell silent along the LoC since the midnight of February 24/25. US lawmaker welcomes India-Pak ceasefire agreement
A top US lawmaker welcomed the announcement by the militaries of India and Pakistan to strictly observe all agreements on ceasefire along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir and other sectors, and said this is the first step that will hopefully lead to de-escalation of tension.
The White House on Thursday had said the move is a positive step towards greater peace and stability in South Asia. I welcome the announcement by the governments of India and Pakistan to resume a ceasefire along their shared border, Congressman Gregory Meeks, chairman of the powerful House Foreign Affairs Committee, said.
