Kuwait on Monday (Apr 22) started its first-ever Hindi language radio broadcast. The Hindi programme will be available on Kuwait radio on frequencies FM 93.3 and AM 96.3 every Sunday evening, from 8:30 to 9 pm (local time).
India lauds the move
Lauding the move, the Indian Embassy in Kuwait said that this step will serve to further strengthen the ties between India and the West Asian nation.
On the auspicious occasion of the holy festival of Eid al-Adha on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended warm greetings to Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of State of Kuwait, Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait and to the people of State of Kuwait, through a letter on his own behalf and the people of India.
Lauding India, Kuwait ties, Kuwait's Ambassador's to India Jasem Ibrahem Al Najem has said that it’s a "great story to be told for generations" with relations on the "right track" even as both countries work together with each other amid the Covid pandemic.
