Union Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy added that ASI has retrieved 251 antiquities from foreign countries between 1976 and 2023, of which 238 have been retrieved in the last nine years.
In a historic move, 29 antiquities have been returned to India by Australia. These antiquities range in six broad categories according to themes - Lord Shiva and his disciples, worshipping Shakti, Lord Vishnu and his forms, among others.
