The High Judicial Council has forwarded today to the President of the Republic the proposal for appointment to the High Court for four vacant positions in the field of criminal law, announced by decisions number 241, 242, 243 and 244, dated 09.07.2020.
In the promotion procedures in the High Court, for the four vacant positions in the field of criminal law, within the candidacy period, a total of eight candidates ran.
With the aim of filling vacancies in time, in order to make the High Court functional as soon as possible, the Council considered the development of a parallel procedure for verifying candidacy criteria with that of ethical and professional evaluation of candidates for each of the vacancies, given that promotion to higher courts requires both ethical and professional evaluations of candidates, in order to rank them and determine the cand
