John A. Giampolo, founder of both Healthcare Group Purchasing (HGP) and Independent Pharmacy Alliance (IPA), died last week at 84 in Princeton Junction, N.J. Over the course of his career John also served as senior vice President of the New Jersey Hospital Association Group Purchasing Program along with his work with HGP and IPA. John was a passionate supporter of independent pharmacy and an NCPA member for decades, and NCPA sends its condolences to his family.
