The Tri-City ValleyCats are suing Major League Baseball and the Houston Astros after the league decided to end their affiliation.
They are seeking more than $15,000,000 in damages.
The ValleyCats found out last month that they were no longer an affiliate of the Astros, after a restructuring by the MLB.
The team announced last week that they will be joining the Independent Frontier League and will continue to play at Joe Bruno Stadium in Troy.
