Kota Kinabalu: A 40-year-old police officer was charged in the Magistrate’s Court Monday with being absent from duty for a continuous period of 21 days.
Indah Budiman Bambang, who appeared before Magistrate Stephanie Sherron Abbie, was accused of committing the offence between 5pm on Oct 8, 2018 and 5pm on Feb 29, 2020 at the Crime Investigation Division office, Police Station, here.
However, no plea was recorded from Indah after the charge was read out to him, who was at the central lock-up in Kepayan, via video-conferencing.

Indah was charged under Section 86(1) of the Police Act 1967, which carries a jail term of up to 12 months.
