Was unexpected by most people i know i hear that nobody expected it. I do want to take some credit for expecting it with my if colleague who is a fellow fellow in our book, we explain what our view was, we published some time ago, we anticipated this. We were voices in the wilderness during the heyday of peek oil. Technology improved and it improves fastest in area of inhere inherent advantage. Last year was the fastest single increase since the dawn of the oil age a century ago. Total Oil Production in america went up 4 billion barrels a day in the last seven years. That comprised more than threequarters of the total worlds increase of total oil supply. If the shale fields were a country, they would be a fifth largest hydrocarbon producing country on the planet. This did not come about because somebody discover new oil. These shale fields were mapped out a century ago. Weve known theyve been there for a wheel. We know it contains ill and gas. Gio physicists have been aware of this for
June 19 of 2014 does nothing to save us from Global Warming. Thats a quote that i will use when it is my turn for questions so that people wont question the accuracy of that. No one should be surprised. We have been here before. Nasa dr. James hanson said the protocol will have little effect on temperatures in the 21st century and will take 30 to reduce warming. Even when secretary contradicted lisa jackson in july of 09 of course she was the chairman of the director of the epa at that time, she honestly testified that u. S. Action would not impact world co 2 levels. You dont have to go back to that time because that question i asked at one time sitting right here i said if we were to pass any of these bills at that time would this have the effect of reducing co 2 emissions world wide . She said no it would not. This is not where the problem is. The problem is china and india and so forth. We all know that. I am going to go through here to try to get these points across and then we wil

Industry to make sure we werent being overly aggressive about the ability to have the technologies available for full implementation. Has epa actually quantified how much of the voc reduction the nsps has actually yielded to this point . We do have a good signal from our Greenhouse Gas reporting program that its already been tremendously effective at reducing Carbon Pollution because Carbon Pollution is reduced as youre catching those volatile organic compounds. So we do have a very good sense that this is being effective already. I understand its already about 190 to 290,000 tons. Thats right. Is the estimate. Has epa quantified methane reductions as a cobenefit . We have and i can provide those numbers. I dont have them at the tip of i think i have them. Its about 73 decrease . Excellent. So in january this year the white house released a strategy of reducing oil pollution. They released pro terrible resources like oil wells pumps leaks as well as well sites and compression stations.
For the Dow Jones Industrial average, up nearly 156 points. It finished at 18,288. The nasdaq closed 44 points higher. It was 5,008. The s p 500 also at a new alltime closing high up 12 points to finish the day at 2,117. Berttha coombs joins us with what drove the index to this level. Hi, bertha. Its been an amazing ride tyler. 15 years ago, you had stocks that traded on the nasdaq with valuations that were sometimes 100 times or more what their earnings were, if they had profits at all. Very different index right now. If you take a look at a number of these stocks some of the high flyers they now have valuations that are much closer to the closing market. The nasdaq 100, even if you have stocks like amazon and tesla, you still have other stocks that brought the nasdaq 100 pe down to 19. That compares to the s p at 17. And really the biggest indicator is apple. Apple, despite being the Largest Company emp by market valuation, trades at just 14 times its recordbreaking earnings. Pr. Ber
