bloomberg, running the largest city in america, having crime rates and murder rate guess down to historic lows and pete buttigieg, running 299th largest city, seeing a soaring murder rate. i think as buttigieg was talking about iowa voters taking this seriously, as they dial in on the actual record of achievements, i think the bloomberg record will make mayor pete look like he s not really neither do well with black voters and certainly when bloomberg left new york, black his not recovered from the great recession and the greatest income inequality gap in the country is in new york city, under his mayorship. white men make more than black women in this country, i don t know how that will resonate with democratic voters. he has his challenges. something deneen brought up. you asked who should be more worried, should be donald trump and the republicans, because
this impeachment inquiry. they re going to keep putting their case forward. look, i support elizabeth warren. i have from the very beginning. i was there for her launch back in february because she is interested in talking about real issues that confront real families middle class, working class families, people struggling underneath this income inequality gap. she puts those issues forward every time she s on the debate stage and while she is doing that, she is re-engineering the way a presidential campaign can be run by rejecting corporate contributions, lobbyist contributions, you know, for people like me who are just starting out and, you know, know how hard it is to raise money, she is showing that it can be done. you can be in the top three raising money, showing momentum, showing a surge in the polls, all the while you re speaking your truth and running a grass roots campaign. so i m excited to see this
and so what they re hoping to hear from candidates is really just how they plan to solve problems for poor americans. and even one of the main activists here reverend william barber said democrats do a good job of talking about the middle class but not necessarily a good job of focusing on poor americans. and yet when i heard them outlining a lot of the things that they are hoping to hear from candidates today that the activists are hoping to hear, i couldn t help feel like i was at an elizabeth warren or bernie sanders campaign because they have structured their campaigns around a.m. ellorating the wealth gap. here s what one of them had to say to me. income inequality gap is something that i m hearing about a lot from certain candidates. who s doing a good job on this right now? exactly. in my opinion, i feel like the movement that we hear from kamala harris and the movement that we hear from elizabeth warren are moving in those
