On Friday night, Burke County Animal Services seized two thin and wounded horses from a farm in Valdese as they were armed with a new order officially accepted on Tuesday. The two horses were in a very bad condition on Saturday morning, Settlemyre said. Even though the most injured of the two horses luckily gets better, no one can ride her.
