Nevada DETR provides $1 1 million grant to help prospective teachers finish school

The Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation is providing the Nevada Department of Education with $1.1 million to grow Nevada’s educator workforce through “Incentivizing Pathways to Teaching” Grant Program.

Carson City HHS reports 2 more deaths on Friday, bringing total to 56; 2,378 cases remain active

We are reporting two additional deaths due to COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region. The individuals were: • A female Douglas County resident in her 70’s • A female Carson City resident in her 60’s We are also reporting 104 new cases and 15 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region.
