The cruise planned for the spring of 2020 was called NurseCon at Sea. It was billed as the ultimate nursing conference and was hosted by Nurse Blake, a famous social media influencer. However, the inaugural cruise never set sail due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) Friday, Johnson and Johnson shared the initial trial results of their single-dose COVID-19 vaccine. This has important potential and real world implications both domestically and globally because as many of you are aware of, this is a single shot vaccine in which you start to see efficacy anywhere from 7-10 days following the first and only shot, said Dr. Anthony Fauci during a press conference Friday morning.
In the trial, the shot was 66% effective in preventing COVID-19 with mild symptoms, and 85% effective in preventing severe symptoms and hospitalization. Less than 10% of respondents developed a fever, and there were no reports of severe side effects, including severe allergic reactions.
