Clare’s Green Party Senator has called for more stern restrictions to target what she’s desribed as a “free-for-all”, particularly on social media, when it comes to comments on legal matters.
Senator Roisín Garvey’s comments came in the context of a Seanad debate which saw her support a Bill which, when passed, will allow the identifcation of children who are murder victims.
The change has been supported by familfies impacted, who say the current rules have prevented them from publicly telling the stories of those children.
