inabilities. oh, he can t do that. on the phone, hold on. no, can t do that either. like they knew what they were dealing with and still wanted to th them in the fire. ed: going to college is about the kid. they got so obsessed with getting them in. control of, i m so powerful, i m so great and my kids are great. maybe you should have some real life experiences. not protect them from everything and you controlled everything and now you have children who can t get into college and you pay for it. that s embarrassing and wrong. i know we re laughing about it because of the hypocrisy. ed: journal of the american medical association ruined by breakfast. they said leading three eggs a week is linked with developing cardiovascular disease and 8% risk dying from any cause. the food police come after you no matter what. i thought eggs were good. you got the protein in the morning. this story cracks me up.
you would say you re down. now kids would say that you re woke, that you are talking about systemic racism and you re talking about the historical impact of racism. from a policy standpoint what bern bernie talks about which says that 10% of funding in poor communities should go to places where it is 20% of the people have to live below the poverty line. what is brilliant about that idea it was wide for bernie to talk about, it really gets to the underlying issue. there are systemic inequalities that have to do with race and historical inabilities to accumulate wealth, to attain wealth and attain access and frankly it helps poor people all across the country, many of whom are represented by republicans
than obama is. i think you would put him to the left on some of these issues. i think that s true. the thing that s so tragic to me in this decision is our apparent inabilities to learn from the mistakes of the own advisers w you withdraw physical presence you allow the same problem to recreate itself. yet we did it in afghanistan years ago. we did it in iraq. we re about to do it again. we had to send more troops back. precisely. i think there are two things happening. it s a reminder we have a president who has not visited any of our troops in action and is making decisions with a lack after awareness and knowledge that one would hope a commander in chief would be able to do. something else i m thinking about is we see our president campaigning for re-election based on the slogan promises kept. this is a promise he made for
president. since nick ayres stepped down i have not had a conversation with the president about the potential. is been more report it has been more reporting than anything. we want to make sure he has a good partner to make sure that the white house works well and works on behalf of the american people. martha: do you think john kelly was not a good partner and what do you think is missing? what is needed in the job ratterless of whether or not it s you? i can tell you i was a fan of john kelly. he has not only served our country women as chief of staff but served our country in his previous career. i gnaw him in the previous career as a i knew him as a previous career as a three-star general. this has nothing to do with his abilities or inabilities as much as trying to make sure that the president has someone to move it forward. you have to look at the chief of staff job. historically, this president or any other president. the tenure of the chief of staff has not been a long
what is making you pause? what is making you think about this? because we ve been talking over the course of the week and you ve been waffling back and forth. i guess the last few day, some of the things he said, the inabilities for him to get out and talk to the farmers and give us his views. you have 1,500 acres of corn and soybeans. we were talking about the soybean market. you said last week you finished harvesting. before the tarriiffs went into place. are you going to make a profit this year? right now, probably not. we ll have to use equities from the previous years to make things, cash flow. for steve king here, it s not only the comments, but it s also the agricultural issue and the impact the trade tariffs will have on people like laverne here. thank you to all of our road
