winter break. the spring break of my junior year i spent in the south bronx working with an incredible group at an elementary school out there. we took a group of ten students and were there to enrich the students lives for the week they were there. what s so unique about the program is we understand the privilege that we have to be welcomed into these communities. we are not there to support that. while we are supporting them, we re there to learn from them to understand the experiences these students are having but really to understand just how wonderful so many of these young elementary kids are. i remember the principal at immaculate concession, school we were at saying i hope you realize this is the only week out of the year the students get to finger paint because it s too messy with one teacher in the room. it took having a lot of us there making sure they were able to do that. a simple thing but goes to show the impact young people can have in these communities. you were goi

replace obamacare. those statements are from groups that represent health care providers. but what about the ones that actually put their hands on the the patients, the medical boots on the ground. i m here in the south bronx where doctors take care of the most vulnerable patients. st. barnabus is a safety hop. within the bronx it serves among the poorest communities of the bronx. very high rates of the major chronic diseases, diabetes, as ma, hiv/aids, substance abuse. reporter: 75% of patients here are are on medic health coverage they didn t have until the affordable care act. now they stand to lose it. many thousands or tens of thousands of patients who would be skibl for medicaid at present offer 2020 will no longer be eligible for medicaid. reporter: without mfd medicaid poor patients will lose
