ballots to be overnighted to those folks that did happen. as long as the ballots are post marked back by 7:00 p.m. tonight, they will be counted. neil? neil: thanks, aishah, for that. as aishah was wrapping up there, we getting news out of pennsylvania that could delay the results out of that state from 8:00 p.m. to upward of 10:00 p.m. in lucerne county, there apparently having a shortage of paper ballots or shortage of them that people that wanted to vote couldn t vote. a judge has ordered all polling locations to stay up until 10:00 p.m. on the same day that we re getting word out of arizona there were ballot issues. just some irregularities that could affect the count there. tom bevan on all of this of real clear politics. last time we chatted, there was the possibility of given the
so much happening and so little time to get to it. so in the next hour, we re putting it all in perspective including that run-up in stocks that has some investors hoping that maybe with democrats and republicans continuing at logger heads, nothing gets done. that s what these guys like. nothing getting done. it s nuts. i know. but let s get the read from arizona where something nutty seems to be going on and voting irregularities or problems with some machines. i don t know if i have the full gist of it. i know alicia acuna douse in paradise valley, arizona with more. alicia? hi, neil. maricopa county elections officials say they don t know why, but there are a number of tabulation machines across the county that are simply not working right now. we ve been told that it was 20% of the voting locations that were experiencing this. then one of the officials that was in charge went on a local radio station, gave a number close to 27%. we re still trying to get that
the most competitive race in indiana is in another time zone. closes an hour later. it s in the northwest corner of the state. indiana s first district. a lot of the analysts are watching this district. it is in play for republicans. it s a democrat strong hold. if i take you back out to what happened in indiana in the presidential election of 2020, you ll see why that first district is in play. this corner of the state, lake county, went to joe biden. okay? this is a democratic strong hold. this was a big win that night for joe biden. but donald trump took porter county, which falls in that district, the entire country. donald trump also took laporte, the western portion of that county falls in that first district in indiana. so neil, first watching some of these key house races that close early in the night. you move through the evening and you look at the senate race in georgia. this is going to be a 7:00 close. neil, all eyes are on this senate race to see how things are shaking up
sorted out. what that means is that in these locations where this is happening, the ballots are not being counted where people are voting on those sites. officials do say that the votes will be counted. that that will happen tonight. only now those ballots will be delivered via the county to a downtown location in these secured boxes to their central office for that counting, which the county supervisor in charge explains this is the way other counties actually do it. a majority of arizona counties, that s how it s done. they don t have this option to actually see the vote counted right there at the vote center or the precinct. instead, it goes back to central. now, our cameras caught up with kari lake as she was casting her ballot today and asked her about the issue. she has this message for voters. my message to the people of arizona, don t get out of line
