The Budley Bugle is a weekly newspaper in a sleepy small town. The arrival of a charismatic stranger with a secret mission quickly turns Budley into a community “divided against itself.” Old friendships are disrupted by petty squabbles, romantic jealousies, and political intrigue. With a small town’s way of life hanging in the balance, the staff at the Bugle confronts the crisis in surprisingly funny and tuneful fashion. A large and talented cast of Wayward Players, directed by Jerry & Carol Way, proudly takes the stage at the Heyde Center for the Arts to delight audiences with this love letter to small town newspapers. Dinner by Karl’s BBQ Express will feature Karl’s Famous Charcoal Chicken accompanied by Baby-red Potatoes, Creamy Cucumber Salad and Cornbread with Honey Butter.

The Madison Folk Music Society and Wild Hog in the Woods Coffeehouse present Robert Jones and Matt Watroba in a special live-streamed concert. Ever since meeting over thirty years ago, Jones and Watroba have been musical partners. Their relationship started when they hosted back-to-back radio shows on WDET-FM in Detroit. Later on, they started performing together and in doing so,they discovered a friendship based on mutual respect and a love for traditional American music. They have traveled the nation, extolling the virtues of Music That Matters. That includes folk, blues, spirituals, work songs, chants, etc. As talented as they are individually, singing and playing guitar, banjo and fiddle, together they form a synergy that is hard to describe.
