Disaster Management Club and IQAC of Livingstone Foundation International College (LFIC) in collaboration with the State Disaster Response Force conducted a mock drill on disaster preparedness in the College on April 29.
DIMAPUR The Disaster Management Club and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Livingstone Foundation International College, in collaboration with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) conducted a mock drill on disaster preparedness in the college on April 29. An update from the college stated that a team of 20 members led by ASI Angukato K Yeptho from Civil Defense and Home Guards, Dimapur, carried out various activities. Prior to the drill and activities, Yeptho emphasised on the need to be prepared for any eventuality of disasters especially earthquakes as Nagaland falls under active seismic zone. Even though the state has well-trained professionals to tackle disasters, he stated that it was also necessary for young students to have basic skills in rescue operation if any need arises in the future.
