Thirty-six volcanic earthquakes were recorded in the past 24 hours in Taal Volcano, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said on Saturday.
At 3 a.m. on Tuesday, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 390 kilometers northwest of Zamboanga City or 95 km Southeast of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan as the easterlies continue to affect the rest of the country, PAGASA reported.
A low pressure area located northeast of Zamboanga City will bring cloudy skies, scattered rain showers and thunderstorms on Monday over the Zamboanga Peninsula, Palawan, Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology on Saturday said it has raised the alert status of Taal Volcano from Alert Level 2 (increasing unrest) to Alert Level 3 (magmatic unrest).
