Imran Khan News Live Updates: The situation outside Khan's Zaman Park residence in Lahore remains tense as law enforcement agencies blocked off a major road that leads to ex-PM's home, prompting concern.
Many protesters, including workers and supporters of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), made an entrance into the Red Zone despite Section 144 still in effect in the federal capital.
Responding to Pakistan's ex-prime minister Imran Khan's call for a nationwide "freedom" protest on Sunday (May 14th), his supporters took to the streets across the country.
Speaking to his supporters through a broadcast on YouTube on Saturday night, the leader who this week was briefly arrested and detained has called for the protest on Sunday evening for one hour, starting at 5:30 pm (1230 GMT).
"Freedom does not come easily. You have to snatch it. You have to sacrifice for it," said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman.
Imran Khan Arrest Live Updates: The Pakistan Supreme Court has directed the police to bring the ex-PM before Islamabad HC at 11 am today for pre-arrest bail.
