MADISON, Wis. — Assembly Speaker Robin Vos told a Dane County court on Wednesday that he never gave formal guidance to the three retired justices he tasked with helping develop
Assembly Speaker Robin Vos defends himself against an open records lawsuit, denying any formal guidance to three retired justices involved in a case for the impeachment of Wisconsin s newest liberal Supreme Court Justice. Vos argues that the retired justices were not an official government body and challenges the notion that all meetings and discussions should be governed by open meetings law.
Vos floated the possibility of impeachment in August after Protasiewicz called the Republican-drawn legislative boundary maps “rigged” and “unfair.”
Wisconsin's top Republican state lawmaker didn't mention the impeachment option Monday in his first comments since the justice decided against recusal.
