that really wasn t what the schools should have been doing. the schools should have been imparting a rich knowledge based curriculum and then the students would do well on the tests. so that s the key i, i think, as much as what the law says is how the schools respond to the law. so i think the best news on then front happened a few days before this announcement, and that was the issuance of these standards by several states, and the governors and the states getting behind these curriculum standards. that s where the action is, after all. and what kind of though, i mean, i understand that with the new standards, but what kind of is the federal government now going to get more tied into this and they re going to have to start, you know, punishing with this incentive, you know with this carrots and sticks program, or should they let their food off the pedal a little bit and let states have
