Imo Ohanaeze crisis: Ezechi Chukwu remains impeached – Ag President

The acting president of the Imo State chapter of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Nze’Emeka Bishop Njoku, has described Dr Ezechi Chukwu as an impostor, saying he has been impeached and should be ignored by the public. He also dismissed the purported media publication by one Kenneth Nwachukwu which had claimed that members of the Imo State Ohanaeze Ndigbo had passed a vote of confidence on the impeached Dr Chukwu as a ruse designed to deceive the unwary public. A statement issued on Tuesday by Nze’Emeka Bishop Njoku reads: “It is important to bring to the knowledge of the public that the newspaper publication in which Mr Nwachukwu claimed to be in charge of the local government Chairmen of Ohanaeze in Imo State is grossly unfounded and fallacious too.

As Ndigbo go to the polls on January 11

Vanguard News Translate As Ndigbo go to the polls on January 11 On By Ikechukwu Amaechi NDIGBO will go to the polls on January 11, 2021 to elect a new President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation. It promises to be a consequential election. But why? Whoever wins will lead Ndigbo in what is perhaps the most critical period in Nigeria’s history. The country is at the delicate crossroads of history with politicians behaving like Emperor Nero who “fiddled while Rome burned.” It is even more so for Ndigbo whose political elite and their conduct in the face of existential threat reveal total lack of concern for their people.
