The International Monetary Fund slashes Japan s economic growth forecast for 2022 to 2.4 percent from its earlier estimate of 3.3 percent in a report, citing elevated uncertainty stemming from Russia s war in Ukraine.
The International Monetary Fund on Oct. 12 forecast Japan s economic growth to be 2.4 percent in 2021 from a year before, down 0.4 percentage point from its July estimate as the most recent wave of coronavirus infections further curtailed business activities in the world s third largest economy.
