Review: We Believed in the Sun sheds light on overlooked aspects of Oklahoma history John Brandenburg © THE OKLAHOMAN FILE Oklahoma Contemporary is at NW 11 and Broadway. We Believed in the Sun is the title of a show of photos by Ron Tarver and paintings by Ebony Iman Dallas at Oklahoma Contemporary, 11 NW 11. Co-curated by Christina Beatty and Pablo Barrera, the exhibit is on view in the third floor Mary LeFlore Clements Gallery at Oklahoma Contemporary. Born in Fort Gibson, Tarver is a former 32-year photographer at the Philadelphia Inquirer, who shared a 2012 Pulitzer Prize for his work documenting public school violence. Tarver also has received a Pew Fellowship in the arts and a recent Guggenheim Fellowship.
