No appointment, health card required for free COVID-19 vaccine in these UAE private hospitals

The corona vaccine is offered to everyone without a prior appointment and co-operation has been made with a number of hospitals and private centres to provide the vaccine for free, said Hussein Abdul Rahman Al Rand, Hussein Abdul Rahman Al Rand, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for the health centres and clinics sector.
The vaccine is offered in government centres including Al Bait Metwahid in Umm Al Quwain, Expo Centre and Al Bait Metwahid of Idhn in Ras Al Khaimah and Al Bait Metwahid and Indian Association in Ajman, he added.
DHA reduces charges of 11 medical services by over 50 per cent

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) decided to reduce the charges of 11 types of medical services provided in all affiliated hospitals and centres so substantially that the reduction exceeded in many of these services 50 per cent of the original charge of the service.
The DHA also set new prices for hundreds of its services.
According to administrative decision No.142 for 2020 approving the charges of some health DHA services, which was issued by Humaid Mohammed Al Qatami, DHA Director General, these reductions followed the approval of the Government of Dubai’s Department of Finance.
COVID-19 PCR test for Dhs150, down from Dhs250 in private health centres

The Ministry of Health and Prevention has decided to modify the fee for COVID-19 PCR test to become Dhs150, down from the previous fee of Dhs250 in the private health sector supervised by the ministry.
In a letter to the health facilities and labs offering the COVID-19 PCR test, the ministry affirmed that the new fee includes collecting and analysing the nasal swab, stressing the importance for all entities to combine efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19, abide by the new fee and ease the provision of health services to the public.
