Whitman Asset Management has acquired the AIM Inheritance Tax Portfolio service of Kestrel Partners.
Kestrel s service will be brought within Whitman s existing AIM IHT portfolio management business as part of the deal, which is led by Christopher Pease.
Prior to the finalising of the acquisition deal, Whitman and Kestrel had been working together to enable clients to transfer their AIM IHT portfolio management agreements.
According to Whitman, most of the clients with Kestrel have confirmed they will transfer over.
Araminta Le Flufy, CEO of Whitman Asset Management, said: We see AIM IHT portfolio investing as a prudent tax planning tool, and most importantly giving investors excellent exposure to the smaller company asset class, which we believe has the potential for extremely attractive returns over the long term.
