Breezy day; nice weekend
GOOD FRIDAY MORNING, EVERYONE.
Mostly sunny skies will prevail for most of the region, but some areas to our north may see a few more clouds and a chance of isolated showers in the morning. Highs will be in the mid 40 s. Westerly winds at 15-25 mph will gust as high as 35 mph. Skies will stay mostly clear tonight. Those westerly winds will back off to 5-10 mph and lows will be scattered through the 20 s.
The weekend promises to be quite fair. Less wind and mostly sunny skies. Highs in the mid 40 s. The cooldown begins Monday. By the middle of the week, we will see much cooler temperatures, with an increased cloud cover.
Winter weather advisory
GOOD TUESDAY MORNING, EVERYONE.
After some light morning rain some will see sun breaks before the clouds close back in and bring more mixed showers. A winter weather advisory that goes in effect for the east slopes of the Cascades at 1 p.m. today will stay in place until 3 p.m. tomorrow. Highs will be in the low 40 s, with SW winds at 10-15 mph, gusting to 25 mph. Snow showers are expected tonight, with lows in the 20 s. Southerly winds back off to 5-10 mph.
Morning snow showers Wednesday will break up around noon and skies will begin to clear. Highs will reach the upper 30 s to low 40 s and NW breezes will be pretty gentle at 5-15 mph. The rest of the work week will be quite fair under mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper 40 s. The weekend will be unseasonably mild. We will see plenty of sunshine with highs in the low 50 s. These nice conditions will carry into the beginning of next week.
Wind-driven rain this PM
GOOD MONDAY MORNING, EVERYONE.
Frosty windows and partly cloudy skies start us off, but thickening clouds and wind-driven rain are on the docket today. Highs will be in the low to mid 40 s. Southerly winds will ramp up to 15-25 mph with gusts to 35 mph. Lows tonight will be around the freezing mark, so look for rain to turn to snow showers. Gusty southerly winds at 10-20 mph will stay with us through the night.
We will see a chance of mixed showers stay with us through Tuesday. That will turn to snow showers again Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. That will break up through the day Wednesday into Wednesday night. Tuesday and Wednesday will be our coolest days, with highs in the upper 30 s to low 40 s. From there, conditions actually get quite pleasant through the coming weekend. Mostly sunny skies will be accompanied by highs in the mid 40 s and lows in the 20 s.
