The development forced airline operators to cancel their operations on Friday and yesterday because no plane could land nor take-off from the runway of the airport until the burst tyre was replaced.
Reprieve, however, came the way of the airline operators and passengers yesterday when the Air Peace plane was evacuated from the runway of the airport.
THISDAY checks revealed that the plane was moved to the hanger of the Nigerian Air Force in the airport for further maintenance services.

Five suspected internet fraudsters, known as ‘Yahoo boys’ have been arrested by the Ilorin Zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in Ilorin the Kwara State capital.
DAILY POST reports that the suspects were arrested at the Ilorin International Airport on Monday following an intelligence report.
The zonal media office of the agency, in a statement on Tuesday identified the suspects as, Oladosun Olakunmi Olamilekan, Olaoye Jamiu Olarewaju, Alimi Abiodun, Toheed Murtala and Afolabi Kamaldeen.
The arrest, according to the anti-graft agency, was sequel to an intelligence report by the commission about the arrival of the suspects who flew from Lagos to Ilorin on Monday.
