we can t have the conversation on race that we need to have that would allow the healing to begin and this episode with miss sherrod is a prime example of why that conversation can t be had. when something like this happens, when a person of goodwill tells a story of redemption and reconciliation and what she learned from that, loses her job and gets roundly criticized over a partial piece of tape, then why would another regular everyday american citizen who is also trying to do the right thing, why would they ever stick their neck out to reach to the other side and understand? well, jonathan, i tell you one other thing, one other element that is involved here, at least i think it s involved here. pat just seemed inclined to agree with remarks that i had made earlier. it s almost a guarantee now that some on the right, these fringe media groups on the right, these fringe bloggers on the right, at some point in the next 24 hours, they will be attacking pat, they

taxes linked to hiring. the more that companies hire, the more they employ new employees and their corporate taxes could be cut. what would happen if we did do that as a country? well, let me make clear the president the president s policy was the new jobs tax credit, which was geared towards smaller and medium-sized businesses, but it gave a cut in their taxes if they hired workers. i don t think there s anything wrong with that idea. i think it s worth consideration. all right. austan, thank you so much for not setting your hair on fire in this interview. savannah, what do we expect today, savannah? is this more twist and turns in this department of agriculture story? you know, i think we may hear more about it, but i think that the overnight action of the white house saying, all right, agriculture, you need to reconsider and i think that will quiet it down until a decision
well, i d like to see you know, when the scottish government actually did a review of the release, they, themselves, said they were extremely concerned because it was unclear there was a lack of clarity about the basis given for the humanitarian release. so anyone who has looked at this, many questions are being raised and now the fact that al megrahi is still alive after 11 months with statements from other doctors saying he could live for ten years and statements discussed in the press that raise serious red flags of the conclusions that were reached about the compassionate release. we need the facts. and, senator, i would love someone to prove me wrong but this looks like a dirty deal. this guy is still alive. his release on compassionate grounds was a joke. mike barnicle, when we first covered the story when he was released we brought this up on the show there is oil involved here. it just kind of fell flat. how could this have been overlooked by the key people involved? by t
