Some gunmen have stormed a quarry site in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital and kidnapped two people.
DAILY POST gathered on Tuesday that the gunmen stormed the quarry site located along Ijebu-Ode / Ibadan Road and kidnapped the victims on Monday.
Our correspondent gathered from a source that one Mr. Popoola Isaac, a staff of RCC and Mr. Ismail Adeoye, a staff of Polaris Bank were the two abducted.
The incident occurred at Dalli Village (Binu Quarry), along Ibadan – Ijebu-Ode Road.
The case has been reported at the Idi Ayunre police station.
Our correspondent gathered that the kidnap of the duo is coming a few months after some gunmen stormed a quarry site at Akinyele local government area in Ibadan and kidnapped some workers.

A 36-year-old man, Ibrahim Mohammed, on Monday appeared before an Ile-Ife Magistrates’ Court for allegedly receiving a stolen phone.
The Prosecutor, ASP Sunday Osanyintuyi, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Jan., 18, at about 6:30 p.m., at Adejohun Compound, Ilare, Ile-Ife.
Osanyintuyi said that the defendant received a Tecno Camon 15 Android mobile phone knowing it to be a stolen item and cash sum of N30,000.
He said that the offence contravened Section 427 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2002.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty.

62-year-old man remanded over alleged stealing, receiving of stolen property

A 62-year-old man, Joseph Adeleke has been remanded by an Ile-Ife Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing and receiving stolen property.
The accused person was charged with four counts of conspiracy, stealing, receiving stolen property and possession of Indian hemp.
The accused person allegedly committed the offences between February 3 and February 10, 2021 at the Celestial Church of Christ, Moore Cathedral and Lafogido Area in Ile-Ife
The police prosecutor, Inspector Elijah Adesina, told the court that the accused person conspired with others still at large, to commit felony to wit: stealing, receiving of stolen property and unlawful possession of Indian hemp.
