A woman, Ajakpovi Osamudiame karis, has accused Nigerian policemen attached to Ilasan Division, Lagos Island, the Divisional Police Officer and her employer, Mr. Idowu Lawrence Oluwabusayo, of physically assaulting her and extorting the sum of N10,000 from her. Karis, who said the incident happened on Thursday, told SaharaReporters that she was assaulted so much that she could barely move her neck, adding that her phone was damaged in the process.
Human rights and pro-democracy group, the Take-It-Back Movement (TIB), has asked the Nigeria Police Force, Lagos State command to investigate the alleged physical assault and extortion a resident, Miss Ajakpovi Osamudiame Karis, by her employer, Mr. Idowu Lawrence Oluwabusayo, and by policemen attached to the Ilasan Division. SaharaReporters earlier reported that Karis accused some police officers attached to Ilasan Division, Lagos Island, the DPO of the Division and her employer, Mr. Oluwabusayo of physically assaulting her and extorting the sum of N10,000 from her.
