U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal said Friday that Congress could force the Pentagon to reconsider its choice of Bell over Sikorsky for a Black Hawk replacement.
Submitting what it believed was a more combat-ready and less expensive helicopter to replace the Black Hawk over time, Sikorsky did not convince the GAO.
A government watchdog agency denied a challenge by Stratford-based Sikorsky Aircraft, a Lockheed Martin subsidiary, and Boeing over the U.S. Army's decision to go with a different company for a new helicopter contract.
