A well-loved classic, “Walang Kapalit” has become a staple in karaoke bars around the country.
Many thought it is just another love song until composer Rey Valera admitted it is actually a song for the LGBTQ+ community.
According to the seasoned singer-songwriter, the late comedian Ike Lozada actually asked him to write it.
The song tells the story of a gay man falling for a guy who can’t love him back.
