Iiser Bhopal: Proteins are extremely prone to loss of function when treated with chemical reagents. However, the novel technique eliminates this problem. This technology is called ‘Baylis Hillman orchestrated Protein Aminothiol Labelling’ (BHoPAL) which efficiently tags chemicals to proteins without compromising their function.
