Our mission here at the World War Ii Museum is to tell the American Experience in world war ii how it was fought, where it was won, and what it means today. Behind me, you will see the large portraits of the political leaders of the axis and allied powers, the lineup, if you will, of the two sides engaged in this great struggle.
