Winter aid from IHH to Nepal
Format
IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation delivered winter aid packets to families in need living in the Koshi, Madhes and Lumbini regions of Nepal.
As a part of IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation’s winter aid operations, winter aid packets were distributed to 2.250 people living in the Koshi, Madhes and Lumbini regions of Nepal.
During these winter months, IHH that is continuing aid operations all over the world is delivering aid to families living under extremely difficult conditions. The winter packets distributed contained quilts, coats, jumpers and winter clothing.
IHH that is continuing to deliver the contribution of donors in Turkey to aggrieved geographies, will be continuing aid operations in Nepal.
Aid to Indonesian earthquake victims
Format
IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation is continuing its aid operations in the wake of the 6.2 magnitude earthquake that struck Indonesia’s West Sulawesi Island.
IHH that has continued aid operations in the region since the earthquake hit the island, delivered food packets containing rice, cooking oil, flour, tinned fish, sauce and sugar to 2.900 earthquake victims.
The death toll is on the increase
While the death toll from the 6.2 magnitude earthquake that hit Indonesia’s West Sulawesi Island rose to 90, the number of injured has risen to 663. 30.500 people were affected by the earthquake.
The aid operations launched by IHH’s Emergency Aid Team immediately after the earthquake that occurred on 15 January 2021 are continuing.
Aid from Turkey to Arakan refugees
Format
IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation delivered food and winter aid packets to almost 45.000 Arakan refugees living in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh
IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation distributed food and winter aid packets to 44.825 Arakan refugees struggling to survive in the city of Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.
The Arakanese people that managed to escape the massacre in Myanmar are struggling to survive in the regions they fled to in Bangladesh. IHH is continuing to deliver aid contributed by donors to hundreds of thousands of refugees that were forced to flee to Bangladesh.
As a part of our food operations, we have delivered basic food aid packets to 22.450 people. These packets contain basic provisions for survival including dried legumes, macaroni, dates and local beverages. Additionally, IHH also distributed blankets and winter clothing as a part of its ongoing aid operations.
Food aid for Kosovo flood victims
Format
IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation delivered food aid to families affected by the floods following heavy rainfalls in the Mamusha province of Kosovo.
IHH distributed food packets to 80 families whose homes were flooded due to the floods in Mamusha - the only Balkan country’s Turkish town - in Kosovo.
It was reported that the flood in Mamusha where the majority of the population earns a livelihood from agriculture, has immersed almost the entire produce of the greenhouses in floodwaters and caused immense damage.
In collaboration with the Gönül Eli Solidarity Association, food packets containing flour, rice, sugar and cooking oil were delivered the families victimized by the flood disaster.
