Anambra Govt Recognizes Traditional Rulers of Ugbene,Orsumoghu and Ideani Communities
Awka – Anambra State Government on Wednesday presented Certificates of Recognition to three new traditional rulers in the state.
The certificate presentation was done by Governor of the State, Chief Willie Obiano, in the exercise of his constitutional mandate.
Among the traditional rulers recognized and presented with certificates of recognition were the Traditional Ruler of Ideani in Idemili North LGA, Igwe Steven Onyekwelu Ezeji, the traditional ruler of Ugbene in Awka North, Igwe Samson Chimakwa, Awka North and their Orsumoghu in Ihiala LGA counterpart, Igwe Elochukwu Mbanefo.

Traditional Rulers of Ideani, Ugbene and Orsumoghu of Anambra State have received certificates of recognition from the state government.
Governor Willie Obiano performed the function at the governor’s lodge, Amawbia, on Friday.
It was gathered that the recognition, makes it the fifty-third certificate presented by Governor Obiano’s administration since inception.
While Igwe Steven Onyekwelu Ezeji was recognized as the traditional ruler of Ideani in Idemili North council area, Igwe Samson Chimakwa was recognized as the traditional ruler of Ugbene in Awka North council area as well as Igwe Elochukwu Mbanefo who was given a certificate as the traditional ruler of Orsumoghu in Ihiala council area.
