FIS Snowboard Nations Cup overall
Austria - 2882 points
Powered on by their alpine and snowboard cross racing squads and crystal globe-winning seasons for Alessandro Haemmerle (in men’s SBX) and Anna Gasser (in slopestyle and Park & Pipe overall), the Austrian Snowboard Team was able to earn the FIS Snowboard Nations Cup overall honours for the 2020/21 season. Claiming 15 World Cup podiums on the season and 52 top-10s, Austria finished with 2882 points - just over 400 points

After a hard-fought PGS event that set the tone for 2021 on the FIS Snowboard Alpine World Cup this past Saturday in Scuol, we’re right back to action this Tuesday and Wednesday with the first parallel slalom competition of the season, as well as the first parallel slalom mixed team event, which are set to go down at the iconic venue in Bad Gastein (AUT).
Initially the 21st edition of the FIS Snowboard World Cup event in Bad Gastein had been cancelled at the end of November due to regional circumstance of the covid-19 pandemic. However, the good news came just a couple of weeks later, after the organising committee along with the Austrian Ski Federation decided that conditions were becoming favourable to host the parallel slalom and parallel slalom team events on the original dates, January 12
Bad Gastein to host first parallel slalom event of Snowboard World Cup season Monday, 11 January 2021
Bad Gastein will host the first parallel slalom competition of the International Ski Federation (FIS) Snowboard World Cup of the season.
Three parallel giant slalom events have been held to date, with the latest competition taking place at Scuol in Switzerland on Saturday (January 9).
Qualification will take place tomorrow morning, with the top 16 athletes progressing to the latter stages of the competition.
Russia’s Sofia Nadyrshina and Igor Sluev will hope for further success following their victories in Scoul.
The duo overcame the challenge of Germany’s Ramona Hofmeister and Poland’s Michal Nowaczyk in the respective women’s and men’s parallel giant slalom finals.
