Janus Henderson has signed a distribution agreement with third-party marketer Excel Capital to offer its mutual funds to investors in Mexico.
The $405bn asset manager is aiming to expand its footprint in the country through its partnership with Excel, which already distributes the Janus Henderson’s funds in the Andean region.
Chile-headquartered Excel recently opened an office in Mexico City and has hired Luis Jaramillo as a managing director to lead the distribution efforts for Janus Henderson’s funds across Mexico, the firms said in an announcement on Thursday.
Jaramillo has 15 years’ industry experience and joined Excel from Credit Suisse Mexico where he was responsible for financial institutional sales.
