shot during bible studyTuesday evening returned to Iglesia Ebenezer church on Merrimac Street on Thursday to attend a stop the violence rally.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) A woman was shot while inside of a church on Rochester’s northeast side Tuesday night.
It happened at around 8 p.m.
Police say the 47-year-old woman has non-life-threatening injuries and was inside Iglesia Ebenezer on Merrimac Street near Hollister Street when they arrived.
Police say it appears that the shooting happened outside and the woman was struck while she was inside the church. She was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by ambulance.

The church was also struck by gunfire.
Police say the investigation is ongoing, and at this time, it s too early to determine who or what was the target of the shooting and anyone with information is asked to call 911.
