Attorney General Ken Paxton's legal team is asking a Harris County district judge to dismiss his securities fraud charges, claiming his right to a speedy trial has been violated in the case that has gone on for more than eight years.
An Idaho judge has scheduled a trial date for Bryan Kohberger, Ph.D. student accused of fatally stabbing four university undergrads in Moscow in November 2022.
The delay comes after dozens of witnesses were added into evidence — alongside a list of 55 songs — after lead prosecutor Alixandra Buckelew took over the case.
