Maskandi stars to visit home of late Bhodloza Zama Nteyi

MASKANDI artists plan to visit Welcome “Bhodloza” Nzimande’s family.
Artists such as Phuzekhemisi, Igcokama Elisha, Khuzani Mpungose, Mdumazi Mhlongo, Ihash’elimhlophe, Shwi noMtekhala, Ithwasa Lekhansela, Bahubhe, Buselaphi and Ama Yellow Bones are expected to be part of the visit, which is set for 15 May.
Organiser and maskandi artist, Thokozani Langa, said the purpose of the visit is to thank Bhodloza’s family.
“Bhodloza was one of us. He was our brother, mentor and peacemaker. He fought for our music. When he started his radio career, maskandi music was nowhere, but he promoted it.”

Abafana BakaMgqumeni have called Mthandeni “Igcokama Elisha” Manqele an uncontrollable little rabid dog which bites everyone.
In their new song titled Inja Enamarabi, the duo attack Mthandeni, accusing him of trying to impersonate their late cousin, Mgqumeni Khumalo.
Leader of Abafana BakaMgqumeni, Nelisani Mseleku, told Daily Sun Mthandeni should learn to respect other artists.
“He attacks everyone, and when they respond he says they’re looking for fame,” said Nelisani.
