IGA, Mie A railway company in this western Japan city is looking for railroad tie owners for the coming fiscal year, who can have their names and messages attached to sleepers from April 2021 to March 2022.
In the scheme, applicants purchase a white plastic plate for 5,000 yen (about $48). The plate, with the owner s name and message printed on it, will be attached to a railroad tie at one of 14 stations on the Iga railway line, which has 15 stations in total. No plates will be installed at Iga-Ueno Station. In principle, Iga Tetsudo Co. will decide at which stations the plates will be installed.
