Governors Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, Darius Ishaku of Taraba State, Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State, Simon Lalong of Plateau State, Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Nyesom Wike of Rivers State are among the remaining 12 governors, who are expected to take the COVID-19 vaccines this week, alongside their deputies and other top government officials.

Governors Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, and Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State, were among the six governors, who took their COVID-19 vaccine yesterday as more states took delivery of their consignments.
Other governors who were administered with the vaccines yesterday include: Malam Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State, Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa and Abubakar Bello of Niger State.
This comes as additional states – Adamawa, Bauchi, Kwara, Enugu, Ebonyi, Anambra, and Niger took delivery of their vaccines yesterday.
Bello; his deputy, Alhaji Mohammed Ketso, and members of the Niger State Executive Council yesterday took their jab of the vaccine in Minna, the state capital. The vaccine was administered to the governor by his physician, Dr. Shehu Ahmed, at Government House.

Edem Edem was among the front line vulnerable workers, above 50 years given priority to receive the vaccine in the state.
He reports that the Commissioner for Health in the state, Dr Betta Edu informed that the state plans to roll out the vaccine in stages.
“The first phase is for strategic leaders and health workers, the second was for those 50 and above and also cover those who are vulnerable
“The vaccines are in good form and were received in the cool boxes and they came with all the medical consumables and other accessories which would be required to administer the vaccines.
