The Niger State Police Command has stated that it is investigating an incident in which a 19-year-old newly wed housewife, Aisha Aliyu, reportedly stabbed her husband, Idris Ahmadu, to death in Nasarawa village, in the Lapai Local Government Area of the state. In a statement by the spokesman of the police command, Deputy Superintendent Wasiu Abiodun, the police explained that before the arrival of operatives to the scene, the suspect had fled. He said efforts are being intensified to arrest her.
