The ruling of the Supreme Court to uphold President Bola Tinubu's election, according to Niger Delta leader Chief Idowu Asonja, has demonstrated that the judiciary is the cornerstone upon which democracy will always rely.
A Niger Delta Leader and Commandant of the Ondo State Chapter of the Tantita Security, Chief Idowu Asonja, has called on youths in the Niger Delta areas of the country to sustain the peace in the region and give maximum support to the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying the President has demonstrated commitment to the peace and development of the oil rich areas.
There is heavy security at the Ondo State House of Assembly amid moves by lawmakers to impeach the deputy governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa. Sources told SaharaReporters that security was beefed up at the Assembly Complex as the deputy governor would be impeached anytime soon. According to sources, Femi Agagu and Idowu Asonga have been pencilled down as a possible replacement for Aiyedatiwa after the planned impeachment.
They were arrested by men of the Nigerian Navy stationed at FOB LEKKI at waterways near the Itolu community, Lekki after the residents of the area raised the alarm following gunshots from the waterside.
