TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)- Even though one local event has completely sold out of tickets for their event, The League of Terre Haute is still encouraging residents to make donations.
This Saturday, May 15, the Clothes Closet is hosting a trivia night at Idle Creek Banquet Center.
All proceeds raised from the event will go toward giving students in need, clothes and other necessities.
Event coordinator, Marcia Curran says their goal is to raise $40,000, which will be used to bring confidence back to the students.
“We provide a service that is monumental for kids in the area.” host Marcia continues, “I mean, we have kids that don’t have coats, clothes to wear at all and we have some of our members that are teachers who see the kids get to wear the clothes at school and are very proud of that.”
