E-wallet KiplePay is powering the payment system behind WarongKu, a newly launched government initiative and e-commerce platform that’s aimed at bringing small traders online towards contactless and cashless business operations.
WarongKu’s goal is to provide 25,000 small traders with their own payment terminals with cashless and contactless payment options by 2022. To date, 3,000 small traders have been equipped with payment terminals, with another 3,500 small traders set to join their ranks in the next batch.
Once these small traders – such as gerai, warong, and restaurants – set up an online shop on WarongKu, they’ll have access to cashless transactions thanks to KiplePay payment terminals and gateway. Consumers can pay using any of their preferred e-wallet providers, including the KiplePay e-wallet.
